  • Course Applications: Apply to three eligible UK university courses and have an unconditional offer from one by July.

Ineligibility Criteria

You are not eligible if you

  • Hold British or dual British citizenship (unless you’re a British Overseas Territory citizen or hold BN(O) and are applying from Hong Kong).
  • Hold refugee status in a non-Chevening eligible country.
  • Are employed by Her Majesty’s Government or have been in the past two years (includes British embassies, the Department for International Trade, Ministry of Defence, etc.).
  • Are a former employee or relative of an employee of a Chevening Partner organisation (within the last two years, ineligible for Partner Award).
  • Have previously studied in the UK with a UK Government-funded scholarship.
